60081 22nd April 1995 It 'top n tailed' 37408 on Pathfinders 'The Scrummager 3.1', 1Z60 11:18 Cardiff - Swansea charter. It hauled the train from Aberthaw Reception Sidings to Bridgend Ford Works (14.24 miles), and from Bridgend Fords Sidings GF to Swansea (26.75 miles). Six Bells Junction Report. 11th May 2002 GWR Green Celebrity 60081 Worked Pathfinder Tour's "Hop & Stop" Railtour, running as the 1Z86 Hoo Junction - Wembley Yard. 60081 developed a fault with the TPWS equipment on departure and the early part of the leg was beset by numerous brake applications by the TPWS equipment. Six Bells Junction Report. 60083 30th April 1992 Worked 'top n tail' with 31128+31217 on Pathfinders 'The Bilston Knob', in conjunction with Bescot open day. It worked Stourbridge Junction - Wednesbury Town (9m 22ch) and Bilston - Tame Bridge (5m 14ch), on the following trains:- 1T01/1T02/1T03 10:36/13:36/16:36 Stourbridge Junction - Tame Bridge. Six Bells Junction Report 13th October 1993 Went to the aid of 47817 after it collapsed on the 06:20 Derby - St Pancras, taking it through to London. 3rd September 2004 Was hauling 6V30 Dagenham to Bridgend following 47811 with the First Great Western (FGW) Down sleeper when 47811 expired near Cholsey, 60083 pushed the ensemble to Didcot before continuing its journey. 60083 Whilst working on the Metrolink project. 60083 was based at the East Lancashire Railway and needed a path to get back to Castleton and thence the naitional network. It was put at the head of the Bury - Heywood working. 20087 was detached and coupled to the rear of the train whilst 60083 hauled the train forward and was detached at Heywood - 4.25 miles. Picture Here. 60084 23rd May 1993 During Pathfinders 'Lancastrian Mini-Excursions, it 'top n tailed with 26003+26005 on 'Train 8' as follows:- Rose Grove - Padiham leg (1m 55ch) of 1Z46 13:40 Preston - Colne. 1Z46 15:22 Colne - Preston (29m 10ch). 23rd April 1997 Whilst working the 6C21 Hallen Marsh - St Blazey, it pushed the 1V48 Piccadilly - Plymouth from Teignmouth to Newton Abbot after 47840 collapsed. 60085 7th April 1993 Delays on the WCML due to a security alert in London resulted in it being attached to 1T19 21:00 Euston - Piccadilly additional service at Crewe. It pulled the train back to Bristol East Yard. 18th December 1999 It worked the Dee Marsh - Wrexham General (via Penyffordd) leg of Pathfinders 'The Scratching Santa'. Six Bells Junction Report 60089 19th January 1992 Following the 'Solent and Wessex Wanderer' railtour it ran as 2Z24 19:37 Waterloo - Clapham Junction, the 'Wanderette', before continuing as ECS to Old Oak Common. Six Bells Junction Report 60094 6th June 1992 Worked the Grain - London Bridge leg (36m 32ch) on 1Z39 13:40 Ashford - Victoria, Hertfordshire's 'The Grain Train'. Six Bells Junction Report 24th April 1993 Over this weekend the WCML was closed for engineering purposes between Preston and Carlisle. It dragged the 09:24 Edinburgh - Birmingham NS and 10:15 Euston - Glasgow 'Royal Scot' over the S & C. 11th June 1996 It was attached to the 17:10 Piccadilly - Paddington at Banbury after the failure of 47843. it took the train forward to Reading, where the service was terminated. 5th February 2005 60094 Worked Pathfinder's "East-Ender" Railtour between London Liverpool Street Station - Southend. 60095 25th April 1992 In conjunction with Pathfinders 'Lancastrian Mini-Excursions, it worked the 14:48 Manchester Vic - Barrow. Additionally, it worked 1T36 10:30 Manchester Vic - Southport (35m 15ch) and return, as well as the 17:34 Barrow - Preston. Six Bells Junction Report 20th November 1994 It worked the Stafford - Chester leg of 1Z09 09:00 Bristol TM - Chester, Pathfinders 'Cheshire Chaser' (26.26 miles). It then worked the Chester - Shrewsbury leg of 1Z09 15:37 Chester - Bristol TM, the same tour. Six Bells Junction Report 30th December 1996 It dragged 1S83 14:40 Euston - Glasgow between Carlisle and Lockerbie because of OHLE problems. 2nd March 1997 It went to the assistance of the 1O09 09:17 Piccadilly - Poole and hauled it from Goring to Didcot. 3rd February 2007 Went to assist First Great Western Paddington - Penzance Sleeper after 57604 failed with a fire on bogie 1 (rear), then brakes locked on. Train was then dragged back into Paddington by 60095 and eventually 57604 replaced with 57602. 60096 16th June 1992 It substituted for a failed 37/4 on the 17:30 Manchester Vic - Southport 'Club Train'. 17th April 2004 Worked The Crewe - Alsager - Kidsgrove - Stoke-on-Trent - Uttoxeter - North Stafford Junction - Stenson Junction - Sheet Stores Junction - Trent - Toton Centre, leg of the Pathfinder "Ministering Monk" Tour. The second and final running of the class 60s only booked passenger work was when 60096 piloted the diverted 1S25 Euston - Inverness Sleeper when diverted via Manchester, this working was scuppered when it was found that the class 60s are not on Scotrail's Safety Case only and subsequent diversions covered by 3 Class 67s 2 on front and 1 on rear. 60097 4th February 1993 Took 87011 and the 16:47 Preston -Euston forward from Wigan to Crewe, after the 87 had problems with its TDM controls. 22nd May 1993 On the weekend of 22-23 May 1993 two days of special services in the North-West saw Pathfinder running a number of 'Lancastrian Mini-excursions' around the region with unusual power. It 'top n tailed' with 5601998 on 'Train 4', working the following:- The Preston - Morecambe leg (25m 17ch) of 1Z46 15:49 Preston - Heysham. The Heysham - Morecambe leg (4m 38ch) of 1Z46 17:06 Heysham - Preston. 19th April 1995 It assisted 1O16 12:30 Glasgow - Poole from Heaton Norris to Stockport, after 47848 failed. ?th April 1996 It was sent light engine from Peak Forest to assist the 09:22 Penzance - Edinburgh HST from Rotherham to Leeds. 4th September 2004 Sent to assist Ailing HST on the 1M78 in the Bromsgrove area. 23rd September 2000 60097 Worked Pathfinder Tour's "Calder Revolver" Railtour From Tinsley Yard - Bradford Interchange running as the 1Z58.
